Good point. I really like HL1MP Source, but it's buggy and Valve has done NOTHING to update or fix it since they released it. They won't even comment on whether it will ever be updated or not, nor whether it will be available via hldsupdatetool. The silence is deafening. Those of us running dedicated servers have to hack pieces parts out of the GCFs just to get it to work.
One advantage of Valve not doing anything with OP4 is that it doesn't get broken, and there will probably never be ads in it. Let's put it this way - the day I find advertisements in my OP4 server is the day I take down my OP4 server and move on to some non-Valve game.
(except abandoning Half-Life to move on to greener pastures) Nah, just SRC... HL1 works great. I love the eye candy of HL2 SRC, just too many issues for the average Joe to deal with.
