Sorry if this reply is a bit too late, but you could try playing around
with this cvar:
"mp_limitteams" = "4" ( def. "2" ) min. 0.000000 max. 30.000000
game notify replicated
- Max # of players 1 team can have over another (0 disables check)
That is taken from a CS:S server and I'm not sure if it also exists in
hl2mp. Don't have much experience with hl2mp, so don't be surprised if
it isn't. .
In CS:S this controls how many players one team can have more then the
other team, so if you have this set to 4 and you have 8 T and 4 CT, then
it should only allow you to join CT.
Probably you will have to enforce this after you have set your
bot_quota's, else it might not let you add 8 CT bots in one go, without
adding some T bots as well.
Hope this helps,

That could be done with eventscripts probably, but not just using game
settings I believe. Bes you can do is force all of them to go CT or T.

Aaaahh! A light bulb turns on! I guess bot_quota_mode match was
working
properly. I noticed 16 bots with one human at bot_quota 16 and 4

be 1
human to 1 bot. I like the variability better.
Is there a way to predetermine the number of bots that join
terrorists or
counter terrorists? I know you can add one at a time in the server
console
with bot_add_t or bot_add_ct, but can you just have a server start
with say
8 terrorists and 4 counter terrorists. And then maybe just have
humans join
the counter terrorists?
