The is only refers to Counter-Strike:Source (although it may happen in other
mods).

What exactly does cl_cmdrate +67 do?

Why does the scoreboard reflect the clients ping as 5ms after inputting
cl_cmdrate +67? (Even if the clients ping in net_graph is a massive 100ms)

Even after inputting cl_cmdrate +67 into a clients console if you prompt
cl_cmdrate it shoes the value "67" but if you use the new server query
(implemented by Valve only a short while ago) it returns "+67" - Why is
this?

When using cl_cmdrate +67 for me it appears that I see enemies a lot earlier
than with it set to cl_cmdrate 67 - kind of like I no longer have an
interpolation delay (eg. like having cl_interpolate set to 0); this is
obviously just speculation however.

Let me explain the above in a hypothetical example:

cl_cmdrate 67

I hide behind a corner.

I get shot and die.

I then see the player appear in front of me (about 250ms after dying).

cl_cmdrate +67

I hide behind a corner.

I see a player appear in front of me.

I get shot and I fire back.

(Note: This example would occur much more often on servers that have obvious
interpolation issues / lag)

If this has been discussed before please forgive me (and also let me know
where I can find the discussion J).

Cheers.
