This is how I have mine setup:

// Config
mapcyclefile "maplist_goldrush.txt"
motdfile "motd_goldrush.txt"
servercfgfile server_goldrush
sv_logsdir "logs_goldrush"

// server logging
log on

Be sure to put "log on" after the "sv_logsdir" or else all the logs for the
first map will go to the main log folder
