I had an issue with the first srcds I updated. After I ran the update, it
started fine then I stopped the process and no matter what I did it would
not restart. I ran an hlds update on it again, and everything was good after
that.

So.. For those still having issues getting their srcds to start, you might
try running the hlds updater again if you haven't already.
