I think it's more likely that there simply aren't any better servers out there. When we searched for a server last night (due to a routing issue one of the 4 of use could not use our own servers) we first ended up with a lobby-leader-hosted server, and secondly with one hosted in Chicago, USA (we're all in the UK)
