According to stats at steampowered.com, L4D2 has now 10268 people 
playing this game. According to 3rd party site, around 440 players of 
those are on the UK servers (and in the uk alone, there are 650+ servers 
total) so there's a lot of competition from the players in that area. 
I'm pretty sure the system works pretty much better than before. No more 
random assigns with random servers on high ping.

I used to get a lot of times an american based server with the search 
whilst playing with random people, even through all of us were from 
europe. I've also seen US players getting assigned to our servers from 
some odd reason in the past. If this doesn't happen anymore, i'm just happy.
