Snapshot overflow, if it happens near the end of a map (or some critical point of gameplay) and not just on one map but others too really points into some exploit. Overflow only happens to me on custom map downloads and for maps that i do not already have installed, not really anywhere else. I know that for some it happens during game but not to so many, only one at at time and completely random (if at all).

It could be something in the Steam too, as there was this bug where every player would crash with hl2.exe dying one at a time but this doesn't sound like it.
