I'm more concerned about the specific days they like to launch big updates on. It seems to me it would be easier to tease updates with blog posts on the weekends and release on Monday than it is to start teasing on Monday, release on Wednesday/Thursday/Friday and wind up having to stay around on the weekend to fix the issues anyway.
Releasing earlier in the week gives them more of a chance to fix the issues before the weekend hits.
