In reply to Derek's post about wishing this list was only open to posting by Valve employees and not the public.
While I agree with you that the spam lately from certain people has been pretty crazy, there is an actual list that just contains announcements (which you are here for). If you want such a list you should unsubscribe from the lists, while staying subscribed to [email protected]. That only has announcements about updates.
