@rowed You may want to checkout the forum guide, as I recall there being a
few quirks and annoying gotcha's in setting it up.
http://forums.tripwireinteractive.com/showthread.php?t=105484

@john Regardless of whether tripwire can find the resources to support
dedicated servers on linux natively, I would have thought the least you can
do to encourage community members to donate resources to your for-profit
en-devour is make the process as easy as possible. The lowest hanging fruit
in this case would be putting together a consolidated guide for setting up
dedicated servers on the major operating systems (for linux, how to get it
working using wine), and *linking to it in future emails* when you put out
a call for resources. Most of the content is out there, whether it be
reddit or your forums... but is not consolidated. (I imagine the wiki would
be the best place to put it all
http://wiki.tripwireinteractive.com/index.php?title=Dedicated_Server_%28Killing_Floor_2%29
)

I also imagine giving a little bit more notice to would-be server
operators, would also encourage higher participation too!

I like your studio and the game produced. Good luck :)
