I'm running Alan Cox's 3rd patch to kernel 2.4.18 which includes updates
to ide drivers, filesystems, amongst other fixes and patches that will
show up in 2.4.19.

I'm running with 4 pieces of 512MB DDR PC2100 ECC Registered memory.
I'm unsure as to why my system locks up, but i'm going to try a few
variants in kernel configuration to try and figure out why. I've
noticeds that hlds_l isn't the most stable piece of software in the
world... its a shame they don't release the source so I could compile it
natively on my system, it would probably run a hell of a lot better/stable.
