Everyone take note of your L2 Cache on your CPU - I'm willing to bet 90% of the people with 512k L2 cache do not have these problems - anything below this - yes - you'll see choke / gag / puke... I've tested it on 128k / 256k and 512k... 256k is reasonable - but still not 100% vs a CPU with 512k cache - perferably the AMD family... I was pro Intel - until I tried an AMD 2800+ and it blew me away - the difference was like night and day... Could also be the archt. that valve uses since they do code under AMD CPU's... Not sure what to do about the other CPUs we have that are below 256k - I guess just rid them as we can and replace. Pingboost and all that doesn't help much - but on 512k L2 - boom - check it out.
