Ok Mybe i just have a messed up setup, but i recent system i bought, Dual AthlonMP 2200 with 1GB ram running RedHat9 with the 2.4.20-28.9smp redhat kernel.
Im getting spikes up to 50% with less then 5 people on the server, cs 1.6, doesnt seem to matter what map. I know cpu usage is high with steam, but there is definitely something wrong, cpu usage is considerably higher then on my P4 2.0 ghz system running redhat 7.3. Anyone have similar problems, or know of anything i can do. Is there just a problem with cpu performance and the Athlon chips?
