The massive Updates of VAC seems to be a dream to me, but because of this, I was thinking about a list of wishes about VAC, that will make all admins and all players happy.
- Updates at least weekly Keep Vac alive and make regulary updates. At least once a week! I compare AntiCheatingPrograms with AntiVirusPrograms and nothing is less senseless as AV with obsolte detections. This is the same with AntiCheating. Regulary Updates are neccesary and nothing else will help.
- Use of delayed Banns With every Update of Vac many Cheaters wait untill someone says that this or that cheat is not detected and in this moment many are start using it. If Vac is not banning instantly, maybee only logging and banning after a day, three days or even a week there will be much more fear of using cheats and also much more effective detection.
- Alternate Logging of Vac Action While working as admin for some servers I will be happy about a logging file for vac actions. I want to see, who is banned on my server and searching in the complete log files is to much work This should also work with delayes if there ist a use of delayed banns.
- At least 24 hour between Update and News about Update Yes, I am curious like a cat, but if I know about an update, every cheaters knows also about it.Waiting just 24 hours with the news will help effective AntiCheat.
