Thought I'd chime in with what I'm seeing.

Regular vanilla cstrike servers are having a performance decrease, which
becomes noticeable after about a week. (Mostly in bullet registration, you
can tell degradation after about 5-6 days) Memory usage increases 1.5 to 3%
every 24 hours.

We have two servers running AMXMod "X"; Memory usage is 30% higher than non
AMX mod servers, and that memory usage increases 2-4% daily.

I've been giving my servers reboots once a week to bring them up in tip-top
shape.

Running

Fedora Core 2 2.6.6 kernel
Dual Intel 2.8ghz Xeons
1 Gig ECC ram.

Although it doesn't sound as bad as BSD users are having, it is apparent.

Yes I run 4.9. But I have seen lots of people complain about this on
the list who use Linux as well. It's just been a stale topic for a
while. Regardless of how my server is set up, and what maps are
running, I have been running the same plugins, maps and configs since
1.5. The only difference now is the hlds version.
