well.. I dont want to open it up in a X-window type of client. so that
does not prove anything... I want to grep, awk, sed things out directly
from the console. without anything breaking the output.

I still dont se the benefit of using UTF-8 in a game like this... its more
pain than gain imo... If there should be support of charsets, at least let
the admin decide whats should be used and not.. the next step is probably
to use binary logs... with all 0's and 1's...
