The "100 mbps" unmetered deal doesn't allow you to take all of the bandwidth. Yes, you are on that 100 mbps port, and you burst to whatever bandwidth there is, but the total bandwidth is 100 mbps. FDC probably has at least hundreds... to thousands of machines in that one port.
If you research it a bit, you'll find cheap is not always best.
