I have a Celeron 2.66 GHz on one of my desks, and it's a piece of crap. The biggest problem with it is it's one of those micro form factor boards that was designed to be small and cheap, not fast. It's not so much the fault of the Celeron, but the crap mother board it's on. A 2GHz celeron on a good quality motherboard will scream. Ultimately, the only way to tell is to load up the server with 32 players and see how much cpu is being consumed. You may find it is perfectly acceptable after all. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Simon Parkes" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Thursday, April 28, 2005 1:06 AM Subject: Re: [hlds_linux] celeron questions > I must admit I only ran it for a couple of hours, none of the gamers > complained about lag or anything.. > > But to be honest I would never recommend using one full time.. > > Simon > > [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: > _______________________________________________ To unsubscribe, edit your list preferences, or view the list archives, please visit: http://list.valvesoftware.com/mailman/listinfo/hlds_linux _______________________________________________ To unsubscribe, edit your list preferences, or view the list archives, please visit: http://list.valvesoftware.com/mailman/listinfo/hlds_linux
