sorry, but crouching can help a great deal depending on the weapon you're using. My cousin made a shooting range with a small grid of glass panes down at the end of it with the sole purpose of testing guns. There were lines at 15m and 30m away from the glass, and at 30m crouching made anywhere from a small amount to a large amount of difference with all guns except the awp. It was the only one that didn't seem to change at all when standing or crouched. The scout was one of the surprising ones, your shots barely hit your scope mark if you're standing, but if you're crouched they hit it exactly every single time. Before you reply saying what a bunch of crap this is, download the map for v1.6 and see for yourself. In fact, I couldn't care less if you disagree because I already know from god knows how many hours of testing all the different weapons on this map in all kinds of ways how they all behave.
