Woops, my bad... you can run a 32-bit binary on a 32-bit or 64-bit OS as long as the processor supports that instruction set (i.e. for IA64 processors a 32-bit binary will be slower due to emulation).

Some ppl said here that its better to run the 32 bit binary on a 32 bit OS. True/False? --- False, imo. At least your OS and any supporting processes will gain whatever advantages there are from a 64bit processor. _______________________________________________ To unsubscribe, edit your list preferences, or view the list archives, please visit: http://list.valvesoftware.com/mailman/listinfo/hlds_linux __________ NOD32 2058 (20070213) Information __________ This message was checked by NOD32 antivirus system. http://www.eset.com _______________________________________________ To unsubscribe, edit your list preferences, or view the list archives, please visit: http://list.valvesoftware.com/mailman/listinfo/hlds_linux
