-- [ Picked text/plain from multipart/alternative ] Hi everyone, I'm in the process of setting up a CS: Source server on Ubuntu 7.04. I've installed and configured the server to my specifications, however, every time the server starts, it gets to VAC activating and the server just seems to stop. I can wait 10-20 minutes and nothing else happens. I can't pick up the game on my LAN, so I'm quite sure the server hasn't started properly.
I'm starting the server with this command: ./srcds_run -console -game cstrike -ip 10.18.38.20 -port 27015 +map de_dust +maxplayers 6 This is the server output: Auto detecting CPU Using SSE2 Optimised binary. Auto-restarting the server on crash Console initialized. Game.dll loaded for "Counter-Strike: Source" maxplayers set to 32 maxplayers set to 6 Network: IP 10.18.38.20, mode MP, dedicated Yes, ports 27015 SV / 27005 CL Executing dedicated server config file Error: Material "sprites/bubble" : proxy "AnimatedTexture" not found! VAC secure mode is activated. But nothing else happens... And finally, my server.cfg can be found here: http://www.nickmoore.org.uk/server.cfg and my server (well, my laptops) configuration can be found here: http://www.nickmoore.org.uk/laptop_specs.html I'm not sure what the assertion errors mean, but I've tried disabling all of my cfgs and I still get the error, so I presume it's nothing to do with that. But they could be the cause of my problems - I don't know! :) If you need any more information, feel free to ask.
