This is a multi-part message in MIME format. -- [ Picked text/plain from multipart/alternative ] We've got a version of the Linux server built with a newer compiler version, built off a newer machine with different settings, and with a bunch of link changes. We want to make sure it works well for people before releasing it, but rather than doing a beta, I've put it up on our FTP site. If you have a chance, please grab it and try it. Email me directly if you test it and let me know whether it works fine or if there are problems. We'd like to release this build asap.
ftp.valvesoftware.com user: hlserver pass: hlserver Download source_engine_3_6_08.tar.gz into your steam/orangebox folder and tar -xjf it from there. It'll replace all .so files. You'll know you're running the test version because it'll say "DEDICATED SERVER TEST BUILD" when you run it.
