I just tried this on my AMD Athlon box running Ubuntu Linux, and I am happy to say that I did not get the bad bone weight issues that have been plaguing this system since the Linux server release!! I need more time to test it out later by tweaking my config and connecting with TF2, but it is a step in the right direction.
