Sorry but valve failed to fix the server list with that mod. I see it every night at least 6 of those servers on that list I posted. Pretty easy to see it, right click steam, click servers, then click internet, change filters for Counter-Strike: Source Location US-West check off has players and is not password protected and refresh that. Then click players so it will show you servers with the most players on top. You will see for yourself. Heck spent a minute looking at this myself. Here is a screen shot for those who are too lazy to check the lists. http://club-destroyed.com/fakeclients.jpg Thats just a few of them I clicked on... They all redirect you back to The [-Q-] Clan servers. And they have 33 of those running. This has been going on for more than enough time. It needs to stop!> Date: Wed, 10 Dec 2008 10:40:08 +0100> From: [EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: [email protected]> Subject: Re: [hlds_linux] Fake player hack to fill servers up.> > Uhm, there´s nothing to fix!> > Fakeplayers are actually nothing else than> > bot_quota XX> bot_join_after_player 0> bot_join_team spectator> > (very simple spoken)> > with the difference that the fakeplayer plugin generate (mostly) a fake ping & applies random names, wich is unrelated to the player ammount wich is shown!> > As VALVE introduced with a serwerbrowser update (quiet some time ago) bot´s reduce the shown slots on steam serverbrowser, so "if you set it to 22 fake players, then your server only shows as a 2 slot server on the list (if it's a 24 slot server)", BUT,> this is ignored by any query plugin (or services e.g gametracker/game.monitor) and shows the actually max available slots (maxplayers) and the ammount of players wich are on (incl. bot_quota!)> > This is fue VALVEs query protocol.> > The only suggestion here would be that VALVE updates the query protocol, respective the engine to stream only maxplayers and automaticaly drops bots fom stream liveplayers amount, similar to how it is done for the steabrowser.> > Greets> > _Makz> > > > Valve.....
