LOL - My first post and sent it to the wrong list (win32).

Sorry for that!

Hello list,

i got huge stability issues on my root-server while setting up a counter-
Strike: source server.

I have several different issues:

1.) Sometimes when I try to update the server the updater itself ends with a
segmentation fault:

lg...@rootsvr01:~$ ./steam -command update -game "Counter-Strike Source" -dir
linux-public
Checking bootstrapper version ...
Updating Installation
Checking/Installing 'Counter-Strike Source Shared Content' version 70

4.60% linux-public\cstrike\maps\cs_assault.bsp
4.98% linux-public\cstrike\maps\cs_assault.nav
5.01% linux-public\cstrike\maps\cs_assault.txt
Speicherzugriffsfehler

2.) I can issue the update multiple times with "-verify_all" and always it is
downloading several files. This means, for me, that the files differe from the
ones at valve - is that right?
But why does he still download severeal files - and always different ones
every time i issue an update with "-verify_all".

3.) And this is the main reason i write to you - i just can't get the server
to run an hour without a segmentation fault.
Kernel version is: 2.6.26-1-686.
We switched of ACPI due to a thread here, that this could be an issue - but no
solution here so far for our problems.

Do you know a standard-kernel that is rock-solid (if the kernel should be the
problem?

Thanks for your time in this matter - any hint is greatly appreciated.

Stony
