OMG! Updated again (following announcement) and now non-paying public peep can join my servers for free and the official steam group can't see it in the lobby. No configuration changes, just an update and restart and blam, behaviour is different again.
This is driving me crazy! I just want my steamgroup members to be able to start a game and have it fill up with public people when they are ready for it to.
