Hi, We noticed the same thing, but running Sourcemod I kinda figured I'd prolly be some kind of bug in SM. But as your reporting it on vanilla servers I am now tend to believe it's not sourcemod.
It doesn't happen a lot, just every now and then until that game finishes. The game after goes totally normal again. He said the he and his friends were playing the Dead Center campaign on normal difficulty, and everything was fine until the finale. An inordinate number of tanks spawned during the finale, and he and his teammates tried to play through it but they were overwhelmed by the tanks coming at them constantly. I checked the logs and I can confirm that a bunch of tanks spawned in a row. 10 tanks spawned in 13 minutes. Here are the relevant lines from the log: L 03/03/2010 - 01:24:42: Tank spawned as a TANK L 03/03/2010 - 01:26:18: (1)Tank spawned as a TANK L 03/03/2010 - 01:28:48: Tank spawned as a TANK L 03/03/2010 - 01:29:03: (1)Tank spawned as a TANK L 03/03/2010 - 01:29:41: Tank spawned as a TANK L 03/03/2010 - 01:30:25: (1)Tank spawned as a TANK L 03/03/2010 - 01:31:27: Tank spawned as a TANK L 03/03/2010 - 01:32:07: (1)Tank spawned as a TANK L 03/03/2010 - 01:33:55: Tank spawned as a TANK L 03/03/2010 - 01:36:30: Tank spawned as a TANK L 03/03/2010 - 01:37:01: (1)Tank spawned as a TANK This doesn't look normal to me.
