There's no Fix yet.
Yes, it's still possible "Oh Noes!". However, the methods that I'm
aware are not changing the keys locally. It's done on the server side.
So once they've left your server, all should be well again. It's
pretty hackish, and more of a work around. However, it does work.
I was mailed off list that this had happened with DOD:S when it was
moved over to OB ("Welcome to OB", or so I was informed). This is what
had effectively killed ZombieMod on that game. In my honest opinion,
if we're all chucked onto one engine, we shouldn't be losing
functionality/performance/ and players all because of this.
At the very least, please add this functionality back.
