Well it's not just me detecting this one server from the MasterServer to the
Client issue. I've got two partners one in Florida one in California (which is
where the server is located no more than a few miles away) that is not showing
up their searches either. If I search via Game-Monitor.com which I'm not
filtering an exact region it is not showing up there either.
Would the issue of it being new and not recently populated to an extent cause
it not to show up within the range of the top 5K or so servers you've pointed
out?
As I posted in the previous mail, We can see the server, We can enter the
server but Master Server just isn't showing it exists - I've also tested this
with several users around the country with no luck either of searching it with
various tags or name of server same of which is used on the other server that
is seen.
Just to test, one of my partners which is only a few miles from the data center
in which the server is hosted sat up a server on a personal computer in his
home and it instantly showed up on the master server search using the same name
and same settings as in configuration.
The IP# that I'm currently having issues with is 206.126.129.163 port 27015 if
you wish to take a look at it or anyone else wants to look at it.
Thanks for the reply

What exactly is your process for verifying that the master server is not
including your server in search results?
The old server is located in Florida the new one is located in
California so they are completely different IP#'s which is the only difference
between the 2 aside from a #1 and #2 in the names.
That certainly could be enough to make you not see the server, depending on
where you are searching from. We have a lot of TF servers nowadays. The
master sever only sends the top 5K or so servers that are geographically near
the client doing the search. Are you doing your search from a computer that is
geographically near the server?
You can also simply monitor UDP activity for clients pinging your server. If
your server is responding to pings, it is being reported to somebody.

Ok I've been busy and not able to respond to this much but still having the
issue.
Let me break it down - This server is EXACTLY the same as another that is
showing up on the search function within the game and on game-monitor for
example so I know it's not a config issue its something on the server side.
The old server is located in Florida the new one is located in California so
they are completely different IP#'s which is the only difference between the 2
aside from a #1 and #2 in the names.
The specs of the new server is - CentOS 5.7 : 1.2GB Ram :80GB HD : Intel 386
Platform : Xeon CPU's : in a VMWare 4.0 Virtual Environment
I've tried opening up ports 27000-27040 forwarded with no outgoing ports blocked
The main problem is WE can see the server, WE can enter the server, WE can
play in the server. THE MASTERSERVER is just not sending it as part of the list
which will not show up on the search in game or out of game with things like
game-monitor.
Now... its very very unlikely the server IP# range is blacklisted so I've ruled
that out but hey....who the knows at this point.
Suggestions?? Keep in mind now the Configuration of the two are 99.999%
identical the only things different is the IP# of the two and the #1 and #2 in
the names!!!

It should be instant. When you start it up, does it say connect steam servers
successfull? Also do status on the console and see if the ip it has is public.

This may or may not be a good question as I may be over looking
something simple...but I've recently started up another TF2 server but
for some reason the new one isn't showing up when you search in the
in-game browser yet I have one that is Identical almost aside from a
few minor changes such as #1 vs #2 in the name. The older one that has
been populated a while is showing up fine - does the in -game browser
require a few days or something of population before it really starts
showing up when you search for a key word even a word in the map like
Trade or Payload etc etc.
