If you look at the source HTML rather than using Firebug, you'll see
that only some of those classes actually show up in the HTML, and some
are added dynamically by jQuery. jQuery also dynamically sets the
width, probably basing it on what the width was before jQuery was invoked.
I'd recommend adding your own class and trying to set a width on that:
<def tag="input" for="Date">
<hjq-datepicker dateFormat="yy-mm-dd" class="datepicker-input" merge />
</def>
You can also try commenting out the jQuery(document).ready(... line in
hobo-jquery.dryml to make sure the width is set properly before jQuery
gets invoked.
When you figure it out, let me know and I'll update the docs and/or
library appropriately.
