I wouldn't say that it has a lack of development resources.  The only
real problem Hob has ever had was simply documentation due to the push
of new features and implementation of real world projects that pay the
bills. Those who have used it and learned it's ins and outs are
extremely productive individuals.  Someone with less Rails experience
and intermediate Hobo experience seems to be multifold more efficient
than seasoned Rails developers with whom I've had the pleasure of
working for several years.

Hobo can have a steeper learning curve from being such a robust
library / framework.  From some discussions going around that I've had
here and off the mailing list, it seems that perhaps a different focus
on documentation so as to provide a more practical use case / workflow
based learning model would be more appropriate for those starting off.

So yes, Hobo has been around for a long time and is not disappearing,
so please be rest assured that your time invested with Hobo will merit
long term fruit.
