Why dont you try it out. Pull the slide out at position F. If air blows out of 
the open slide, it is for the F-side. Pull out the other slide & do the same 
for the B-position. If there is another slide right somewhere between lead pipe 
& valve stock, it should be the central tuning slide. Longer valve slides are 
for the F-side, shorter valve slides be for the Bb-side. All known to you, I 
know. Try it out now. It is quite simple. And the slide is doing nothing for 
your horn. YIOU ARE DOING IT.
