I played the Alladin Suite last year. Several movements call for muted or
stopped horn. Nielsen is inconsistent, sometimes calling for mute but
notating for stopped horn. One of the movements, The Marketplace at
Istaphan, calls for muted horn, but I believe the dynamic marking is fff.
(The horns represent the muezzin calling the faithful to prayer from a
minaret.) I used a standard mute, but if I had one, I probably would have
used an Alex stopping mute, as it is reputed to be quite loud. A small
metal transposing mute might not have been visible from the camera angle.
