Well, I don't know. I like the Bb horn a lot and it never bothered me to play E tonality on either the F or the Bb horn. Or the E horn for that matter. Still only 3 fingers involved. Geez, if you think that's hard, have you ever tried 16th notes over the break on the clarinet? No, I get it, on F horn, you just put 2nd finger down and you can play 98% of it, but it's not that hard on Bb horn anyway. Take one tuning slide out at random and leave it on the stand for more of a challenge if you need it.
