Hello William,

I'll second the motion for the Peterson tuner; I believe Peterson purchased the
rights for the "strobo-tuner" some years ago, and now makes an
electronic/virtual version [rather than the actual spinning discs] which is
very accurate and has free lifetime software upgrades.

I have the Peterson Virtual Strobe-Audio-Metronome version, and while it's a
bit larger than the fit-in-the-case tuners, it's great.

I wasn't aware that Peterson was offering the tuning program for an
iPhone/iPod-- which would be much smaller. You can purchase a small,
after-market plug-in mike for an iPod/iPhone [~$75.00-- about the size of a
push-pin] which then makes your iPod/iPhone a handy tuner with Peterson
software.
