I use a Droid, and there are free apps for tuning, the one I use is entitled, 
gStringsFree. It's a full chromatic tuner, and it's very useful with my 
students.

If you have an iPhone (might also be available for Android), the Peterson 
iStroboSoft application is an excellent digital strobe tuner... It's pretty 
darn accurate!
