I simply transposed the vocal line, I did not want to rewrite the mandolin and piano parts. I should say that I could have sung it, but I Knew that I would sound nicer (prettier?) if I played it. Actually, if you remember one of Hans P's lectures, I sang it through the horn. It lies a little low and would be better off in a higher key, about a 4th up. With the notation software available today it would be a snap, but in those precomputer days I just didn't have it in me to take the time to do it by hand. To this day I can sing the melody and only about the first phrase or so with the actual Italian. The whole experience was great, and as was mentioned earlier, my previous disaster was overshadowed by going on to work hard and produce better results each time out. paxmaha
