As I said before, people with local knowledge can help improving the map by
adding street names and major infrastructures in cities or correct some
villages names.

I work at a local civil engineering firm in Freetown. I've been
working with local mapping resources of Sierra Leone for about 5 years
now. For localities, the GNS map names should be fine, but it would
be nice to compare it against the 1972 Department of Overseas Surveys

These are 1:250,000 Maps created by the British government in
partnership with the local Ministry of Surveys and Lands after the
handover in 1968.
David Keili-Coomber is a Civil Engineer who is currently serving as a
Paramount Chief for Mandu Chiefdom Kailahun. He is a crack engineer
who is very familiar with GIS and has local knowledge of the district
of Kailahun in particular. It may be good to have someone on the
ground pass him a copy of field maps for review.
