I want to open a socket to communicate with the Creston server. I am going
to send it commands and have it return information to me. As well as send
it commands to execute on the server.

Oh, I'm using a home ColdFusion server for home theater and home automation
applications too. I think what you are trying to do is open a socket to
have the Creston report changes in conditions of units and/or communicate
desired actions you'd like the Creston server to apply to a specific unit or
units. Is this a correct assessment?

I am trying to open a TCP socket to a server.

Anybody have any good resources that I can look at?

I did a Google search and did not turn up much

Thanks,
