I use the jCarousel plugin to allow users to choose from a list of available thumbnail images.
I use the Accordion and Tabs widgets (from the jQuery UI library) in my admin tools, and the datepicker in forms. All of these controls are very usable, easy to integrate, and most importantly for my environment, section 508-compliant (accessible), and they all degrade gracefully. Actually a number of other plugins in there that I use here and there. I'm a big fan of it. The library is small, the code is concise, and it's very extensible, with a huge library of plugins (though that can be bad, just like in the days when CF custom tags were the rage - sometimes you'll find many that do the same thing, and you spend time separating wheat and chaff). Plus it's the only framework I found that had dedicated books written for learning it (other JS/AJAX books out there, but for learning you really need more than a paragraph or chapter for your given framework). -- Billy Cravens On Mon, Jul 20, 2009 at 5:19 PM, Mark Davis <[email protected]> wrote: I am thinking about standardizing our JS code somewhat because its all over the place (literally and figuratively).
