I took a cue from the Google Calendar "add event" interface, and used separate fields for time and date. For the date field I used the jQuery UI datepicker (obviously), and for the time field I used jquery.timePicker <http://code.google.com/p/jquery-timepicker/> (demo here <http://tricenote.com/node/7> ). You can script the timePicker event so that if you have two on a page, and the user selects a time in the first control, you can populate a default time in the second control (like first time + 1 hour), which is nice. I do the same thing with the two date controls, since most events added to my calendar app start and end on the same day. I combine the date and time and validate that value to determine if the overall datetime value is acceptable. Which date picker do you use? I tried a number of them for jQuery and found most lacked one thing or another that I needed. I ultimately ended up using the Zapatec one even though there is a free version of it: http://www.zapatec.com/website/main/products/prod1/ I use Spry for my accordian and tab needs and tend to integrate that with some JavaScript when needed. I use Spry mainly because the canned look of them fits perfecting into the corporate look/feel over here. I'm a big fan of it. The library is small, the code is concise, and it's very extensible, with a huge library of plugins (though that can be bad, just like in the days when CF custom tags were the rage - sometimes you'll find many that do the same thing, and you spend time separating wheat and chaff).
