The photos from the internet mostly are compressed and for viewing purpose, they don't make good quality prints even you have software to blowup. These software worked very well with non-edited images but not the one you got from internet.If you have to edit image before you blowup with these software, I'll suggest you use adjustment layer from Photoshop to do the modification. Second, it not working you print it out the one from internet and rescan, a poor image is poor image no matter how high the res you scan. Sorry for my English hope you understand it.
