That is surely encouraging...and the softness...I know the HP is
softer...is it a slight amount? I will be looking at prints in 5-6
hours as my samples come in...The printer is still sealed in plastic,
but I have it out of the box on top of my desk with the head and
carts still in the package.

I dont print lanscapes nor soft portraits. I print sharp and
contrasty subjects, shiney, solid defined lines, high detail intricit
subjects. Like automobiles... Lots of my backgrounds have solid
blacks and the subjects in front to pop out. Eye candy images.

ok....few hours left for the sample. I couldnt wait and pulled the
printer out and set it up. I will get a plank wood with risers so I
can raise it off the desk, and have paper storage at least some below
it. Unless the head moves back and forth vigorously and shakes, then
I would put it back on the desk. I got the computer a
Printer/parellel card since many new PC's dont come with it. I read
that you cannot configure a few things using USB...hmmm? I better
read the setup manual.

I think I read someplace that this draws 55watts of power when just
plugged it...that sounds like a lot...like a light bulb....I have 4
computers running and turn the screens on auto off, but trying to
keep energy savings as much as possible. I dont think it is
advisable to turn the printer off daily or often is it?

Ok..back to bed.

thanks for all the feedbacks so far
