Brooks, I've had a similar problem with Windows 2000 OS. I've spent many hours on the phone with HP tech so HP is aware of this problem. you are the first I'm aware of using a MAC OS. I don't have the problem with my Windows XP OS. If you reduce the dpi to 150 of the file you are sending to the printer you will decrease the frequency of the problem with out compromising quality of the print. At least that has been my experience. I've not received a fix from HP as yet. Good Luck.
