I've used my Z3100 about 25 times with different types of media. It last printed from a roll just fine. I pulled the roll out and tried to load a 8.5 x 11 sheet manually and it would not recognize it. The menu reads "ready for paper". I can form feed, access menus, but get no recognition paper is ready to load. It would not recognize the roll either. I put a sheet in manually halfway fed through, it says paper loded incorrectly and feeds it out. So it recognizes paper once it is in, but not on load. I've spent about 6 hours working on this without help from HP since it is the weekend. I updated the firmware, cleaned the printheads, restarted several times and even pulled the plug to initate a full reboot and check. I understand the optical reader could be obscured by ink, but do not know how to clean it. Any ideas?
