The Z6100 is only like the 3100 and 2100 in the fact that it has the onboard calibration device for media profiles. Everything else is entirely different as far as media advance technology, printheads, speed and durability under large volume. If you are looking for a high duty unit then the z6100 is the way you want to go. What is your idea of "high duty" and what will be the type of prints will you output?
I have not heard of a z7100. With the launch of the current Z series (2100, 3100 and 6100) HP's line is pretty full so I would not expect another launch of a graphics based aqueous based printer. The only higher volume systems are the solvent based 8000, 9000 and 10000.
