I used it originally on a Macintosh running OS9 with Adobe's PressReady Postscript RIP. It worked flawlessly until I upgraded to OS X when I switched to iProof's PowerRip X. It worked well for me too until the power supply died. Adobe no longer produces PressReady and it's too bad since it was a simple, inexpensive Postscript solution. The 1220C needs a software RIP to print with Postscript as it has no internal built in Postscript. If you're on a Macintosh, check out PowerRip X. You can buy the universal version which allows you to add drivers for free for any compatible printer it supports at any time in the future, in the event you change printers. I think the universal version costs about $369 or so. It's not the most sophisticated Postscript RIP, but it works flawlessly for my needs ... design, fine art etc. Good luck.
