Yes, after HP service swapped the rollers behind the so called Cleanout Assembly to no success I got my hands on the swapped parts and I was able to find a simple solution. Let me try to explain what I did: When you open the Cleanout Assembly on the back you can see nine big rubber rolls which are motorized. The countpart of these rollers are again nine very small plastic rolls about 10mm wide putting (too much) pressure onto the paper surface from the top onto the rubber rolls. The axle of these plastic rolls is a spring about 20mm long. To get these springs out without taking everything apart you just need to move the rubber gum of the larger rolls aside a bit (to release the pressure), turn the whole feeder until the the small rolls nearly fall out of its mounting. You can then grab the spring using tweezers, bend it like a U letter and put it back again. You need to play a bit to find the proper amount of bend and repeat this step for all nine rolls. I really dont know if this has an influence on proper tracking for lightweight papers, but in case of the two PPP I had no problems so far and I can now definitly leave the roll mounted overnight without damaging the surface any more. regards Website: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/HPDesignJet_Printers Post message: [email protected] Subscribe: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Unsubscribe: [EMAIL PROTECTED] List owner: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Yahoo!
