Hi! I'm new to this user group.
Sorry to ask a very basic question....
But here goes!
Until recently I used to do A2 sized prints from an
Epson Stylus Colour 3000 on a Mac G4 running OS9.
The subject matter was was mainly photographs which
were placed in PageMaker (which had an A2 page print
option).
I did not use a software RIP as there was apparently
no need.
Have I been missing something??!
Anyway, now I use a new Macbook Pro, and since the
Epson has finally stopped working, I was thinking of
buying an HP DesignJet 130 to print from Photoshop in
glorious A1 size.
Can I get away without a software RIP?
What are the benefits?
Will I be able to print directly to the HP 130 from
within Photoshop?
Will the HP 130 print driver help when it comes to
selecting the size of the final output job?
Which RIP is best if I need one?
Thanks!
John Sibley
